Costa living

I've already had a friend break ranks and say he'll 'probably vote Liberal' at the next State election. While I've no love for the Coalition or conservative politics in general, it isn't hard to see why when the incumbents have bugger all to do with left politics and everything to do with corruption, inefficiency, and all those very things I despise in the 'born to rule' on the Right. Are we really better off with Frank Sartor as planning minister?

My true opprobrium is reserved, however, for our Treasurer. I hate privatisation in any form because it usually means selling off for short term gain (what is ours - the taxpayer) for future lost revenue. I don't believe the Government of the day has the right to sell off something that is publicly owned. And I don't believe that a private company has the right to profit from a public asset.
I therefore particularly loathe someone who has insisted on pursuing this line despite opposition from his own Party, from the Union movement and from the general public.

Michael Costa has even said he is prepared to resign on this issue if he doesn't get his own way. What can I say?! You won't be missed.

Don't slam the door on your way out.
